Home is where the heart is

That’s another reason to love our property market…

Bag Yourself a Bargain

After the financial crash of 2008-09, property prices here have remained at relatively low levels. That may not last as more people fall in love with Alderney, but if you have a look around you may still find they are a bargain compared to many areas of South East England. Our ‘council tax’ is also much lower than the mainland’s too!

You are Welcome.

Alderney has an open housing market. British citizens can buy or rent property here without restriction. You don’t need to have a long standing connection to the island or own a super yacht.

Great Value.

The Average House Price in the first Quarter of 2020 was £229,779. This is on a beautiful English speaking island with lower taxes than the UK and a French climate. What’s not to like?

Less Faffing About

The buying and selling process here is simpler than in the UK. It hinges on a deposit of 10% being paid, which is non-returnable. If the buyer reneges, the deposit goes to the seller. If the seller reneges, the deposit is returned to the buyer with the same again paid over by the seller. There’s no messing about.
